Our Love Story
Like the average modern millennial couple, our story began with a swipe. We met on a dating app while both living in New York City, navigating the chaos of the city one date at a time. But just a few months in, COVID threw a curveball, turning our early relationship into a crash course in adaptability. Gone were the trendy restaurants and weekend getaways—replaced by picnics in the park, long walks through eerily quiet city streets, and binge-watching Breaking Bad like it was our job.
Somehow, amidst all the uncertainty, our connection only grew stronger. What started with a few dates turned into quarantining together, finding joy in the little things, and realizing that if we could make it through a pandemic together, we could make it through anything. And here we are—five years, countless adventures, and one engagement later—excited to start our next chapter together!
Our Life Now
After the pandemic, with Katelynn working fully remote, we saw an opportunity for a change of pace so we packed up and traded the fast-paced city life for a little more sunshine and space. Our journey eventually led us to Wilmington, NC, where we bought a house that we’re slowly (and sometimes chaotically) turning into a home through DIY renovations. Let’s just say, we’ve learned a lot about power tools, paint swatches, and the fine art of “we’ll finish that project next weekend.”
Somewhere along the way, two four-legged tornadoes of love and energy joined our family, and now being dog parents is our entire personality. Duke, our 6-year-old gentle giant, and Parker, our 2-year-old ball of energy, bring us more joy than we ever imagined. They remind us daily what unconditional love looks like whether it’s enthusiastic tail wags, snuggles on the couch, or their unwavering commitment to keeping the mailman on his toes.
Life here is full of love, laughter, and an ever-growing list of home projects, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
